In many Italian cities, including Puglia, an increase suicidal behavior among adolescents, as well as incidents that expose their increased vulnerability, including the acts of the so-called bullying. Questions and, although partial, answers that can be articulated are among the most diverse. Much has been said and will say, and ensure that this does not contribute to a reduction of the phenomenon. Yet we must take care to talk about it, we must understand for a change.
The plane of reflection, therefore, can only be the meeting point between social issues (for which, including economic and cultural) and psychological (for which, also psychopathology).
It seems that the lost storage capacity and, ultimately, growth regulators of teenagers here, among many others, which could be a cause of the emotional fragility of our children. In the past
institutions (the state, school, family and the Church
Today, Guys and Dolls between television and real, between parents and teachers to beat a cell phone, including homophobia and sexuality, often seemingly well-defined, including competitions to make the tissue or to be elected to miss the neighborhood, the pact between the family and social reality has been shattered. My feeling is that we hear very little about adolescents give to their emotional needs too little space. Even when this should be an institutional function, it happens that the listener is offered in terms of luck (think of the site of the Juvenile Court of Bari) or insufficient (I mean the too small number of psychologists working in schools). Really listen to young people would set in motion a dynamic of growth no longer linked to the educational models of the past, now and in part to luck, there are more, but the right of every child to find a solid emotional frame of reference with which confront.
